Castle Valley Clover Saltbush (Atriplex cuneata)

Castle Valley Clover Saltbush is a small evergreen shrub that flowers in the spring. Grows from 6 to 12 inches. Palatable to livestock and wildlife.


Woody, native shrub growing from 6 to 12 inches tall. Castle Valley Clover Saltbush has two flowers; one dark in color and the other is borne in axillary clusters. They both bloom from April to May. Leaves are a light to grey-green color and fruits are very small. Provides a palatable forage for livestock and wildlife year round. Prefers full sun and dry soil.
